Red Santa 4-12-06

He is closer to being finished than Blue Santa. His beard was done in the same knitting yarn as Blue Santa but in twisted strands long and short. Will put in some grey using silk and ivory. His cherries were more difficult to figure out - the beads just didn't show up so we (Susan and I) finally settled in Colonial Knots in Neon Rays. Again the leaves need lazy daisies over the top. I do love the opalescent beads on the stars on his vest. Challenge for the day - what to do with the big flowers. Last week Susan had me get 2 plastic rings and cover them with a blanket stitch using Silk and Ivory. Should be interesting!
