Blue Santa 4-12-06

Thank goodness for March Madness - lots to watch and lots to stitch while watching college basketball. I finished the beaded cherries on his overcoat. The leaves still need lazy daisies over the top. The cuffs are done in Silk and Ivory - diagonal tent every other row with colonial knots in between. The same for his hat brim - I'm about half way finished there. Don't know what's in store for the yellow edge of the coat-will find out in class this afternoon! His beard is French knots on a stalk (I turned the canvas upside down when stitching) done with a cotton knitting yarn. It's very textured and I love it.
