Blue Santa 2-8-06

I have one more row of cording to do across the top of his boots and they are done. The boots were Super Suede long vertical stitches couched down with 2 ply floss in 3 different shades.The red top area was done in a reverse basketweave (not just the opposite direction)Lots of detail work to be done on the bottom of his coat-finished the zigzag bead area . French knots (pc 5) again for the circles of white on the lining of his coat-the red was diagonal tent every other row (vertical threads only every other row) in red flair. His hat will be the same. The small black and white squares on both Santas were scotch stitch - black -neon rays and white- flair. I reversed the direction for the white. His mittens - tent in the ecru (pc5) and French knots again in very velvet to make it look bumpy. I did the hand on the left upside down to make the knots go in a different direction.
