Red Santa 2-8-06

It's hard to see the progress with such little pictures but I have been stitching! The trim on the hem and cuffs of his shirt are done in one row continental perle cotton and one row French knots in very velvet. I went back in on the boots and mittens and added a crossstitch (perle cotton again) in the empty spaces from the Cris Cross Hungarian stitches. The trim on the vest is smyrna crosses in 16 kreink red and white. The stars in the vest will be opalescent beads. The cherries on both Santas are padded leaves (pc3), satin stitched over in floss and then red beads for the cherries. I stitched over the belt buckle on both as well-will put a real buckle on. His hat was a split stitch in 3 colors of floss.
